Abstract:
Ensuring the security of fully autonomous vehicles requires a multi-disciplinary approach across all the levels of functional hierarchy, from hardware error tolerance, to resilient machine learning, to cooperating alongside humans driving conventional vehicles, to validating systems for functioning inwards highly unstructured environments, to appropriate regulatory approaches. Significant opened upwards technical challenges include validating inductive learning inwards the confront of new environmental inputs too achieving the really high levels of dependability required for full-scale fleet deployment. However, the biggest challenge may live on inwards creating an end-to-end blueprint too deployment procedure that integrates the security concerns of a myriad of technical specialties into a unified approach.
